This Easter is coming fast. This is the day we celebrate being set free, the day that has been set aside for our Lord and Savior. The day that Jesus overcame death! Wow, think about that for a minute…..go ahead let that settle in. Our sins are forgiven by the blood of a perfect Man, by the blood of Someone who could do no wrong. Man, is that not true love.
I can’t help but think about this past year and how much we have given up, like concerts, going to the movies, gatherings, some even missed Christmas and Thanksgiving. If you are anything like me you may have complained a little…okay if you are like me you complained a lot.
In the midst of complaining I have to think about Jesus on the cross, innocent and without any fault, yet He hung on a cross to fulfill His Father’s word and give all of us forgiveness!
I was sitting in my living room the other day and my son came to me and said “Dad this has been a great year”, I said “son what are you talking about are you living under a rock?” He said, “nope, I have spent more time with you, mom and sis this year more than ever!” He helped me realize that there is good in all circumstances, such an innocent mind!
As we move into the spirit of Easter and are trying to be more childlike, I want to stop complaining about what I have missed and be thankful for what we have right in front of us.
I hope this blog encourages you to not worry, but be joyful everyday, knowing that Jesus came to conquer death and HE DID IT! Because, GOD is Good all the Time.
