Whether it’s a difficult season in life or a global pandemic, we are grateful for reminders to look to God, the ultimate provider for our lives. Cade Thompson’s song, “Provider,” is just that. Cade says, “As I was recording the song over a year ago, I never would have guessed it would be impacting people’s lives in so many ways during this season we are in right now. In a world that feels like it is spinning out of control, we can rest in the truth knowing that God is our ‘Provider.’”

If you find yourself battling anxiety, you are not alone, especially these days. Matty Mullins says he’s been fighting anxiety and depression for half his life. The lyrics in his song, “No Hold On Me,” are very personal because of that.

He shares, “There are moments when it can feel like the darkness has an unshakable grip. Romans 8:38 through 39 says ‘for I am convinced that neither death nor life neither angels nor demons neither the present nor the future nor any powers neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ The chorus in this song says ‘no more shackles on my feet the devil’s got no hold on me Jesus’ blood has set me free The devil’s got no hold on me’ These lyrics are a reminder and a proclamation that fear has no place in the life of a Christian by the name of Jesus Christ who lives in us we’ve been given authority over fear So if we’re starting to feel anxiety or fear creeping into our minds we can rebuke this in Jesus’ name and find peace in the Spirit of God.”
