Wow, this year flew by for me. I am not sure how others are feeling about this, but to me it really felt like we missed this whole year.
Thanksgiving is around the corner so this blog is about being thankful. I get the privilege to work at LifeSongs and I am so thankful for what I get to do for a living – it almost feels like cheating on life. Nevertheless, I love what I do and the team I get to work with.
I also have a hobby and kind of a second job that most have no idea about. I am a DJ and I get to run sound and lights for a local Christian rock band called Empowered! You see, my passion has always been music, however in the days leading up to my salvation the only time I was able to be a part of my passion was when I could find time off from my job as a retail store manager. Well that all changed for me when I gave my life to Jesus and let Him set me free. Things started to fall into place and my life was changed for the better.
Today, I get to work everyday in the industry I have loved since I was a little boy. On top of that I get to run sound for Empowered, being a major part of what the band sounds like live! WOW look at what GOD has done for me. Here I was just trying to be a small part of music when I decided to give my life to God and now my whole life is surrounded by music!
Talk about being thankful, I have my beautiful wife Brandye at my side everyday, I have both of my amazing children Kalin and Vance III and I get to wake up everyday and work in the world that I love…..the world of music and on top of all of that I get to meet so many amazing people just like you. I have to say I am Thankful for everything in my life, I hope you are as well. I encourage you to step back and look at what GOD has given you and be as thankful for everything He has done for you because GOD is GOOD all the TIME!
