It’s a new year which means new resolutions. Or for some of us renewed resolutions. I’m typically a planner. Ideally, I’d have my resolutions set, a plan in place for success, and begin at the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve. But realistically that’s not how it happens.

The past couple of years, I’ve spent the first few days of the year remembering what was accomplished in the previous year and mulling over what I’d like to accomplish during the coming year. I typically make resolutions centering around three different areas: my relationship with God, finances, and physical health. This year, that health resolution is renewed from last year – to get more (or any) exercise.

I’ll admit, 2 weeks into this year, and I’m already off to a rough start. But I look at these resolutions as something to work toward throughout the year, not to perfect at the start. What about you? What have you resolved for 2014? What has worked for you and what has not?
