Happiest Mother’s Day | Julie

I’m a mom to only one child, so my mom experience could be very different from yours. While your issue could be finding a place where your oldest child can have their own space, my issue is keeping my one child from taking over all of our space.

I’m also a working mom whose child goes to public school. So while you could be teaching your child math at home (God bless you!), or figuring out your next tuition payment, I am praying my child’s school doesn’t lose its charter status.

I was talking to a friend last week about all that separates us. Stay at home moms. Working moms. Moms who work from home. Moms of one child. Moms of multiple children. Moms who homeschool. Moms who public school. Moms who private school.

There are so many decisions that make our experiences unique. And most of the time, those decisions are not easy. We don’t know if we’re doing the right thing or if it’s the right time. We never know, but we have to make a decision.

But there is something we all have in common – we are all trying to do what’s best for our family. And that looks different for each of us. And most of the time, it’s hard for each of us.

Whatever your family situation, thank you. Thank you for making the hard decisions. Thank you for doing what you do every day for your family. And I wish you the happiest of Mother’s Days.
