Next month marks my 1 year anniversary with LifeSongs. I can’t believe that it’s only been 1 year, it truly feels like a lifetime. Over the course of this past year I have met some of the most amazing people and heard the most amazing stories.
You see when I started with LifeSongs I thought that I knew what I was doing and what to expect. I knew it was GOD’s plan and that since it was His plan it had to be great. Well I can just see GOD looking down on me with a grin saying “this boy has no clue.” I was not prepared for the journey I was about to embark on.
I remember one of my first concerts that I worked was Lecrae. JoJo and I got to the show and I was lost. I had no clue what to do or what to expect. I was confused, but I acted like I had it all together. As the people started walking in and coming to our table – telling us stories of how LifeSongs has helped them and had changed them – my emotions started running wild. I remember looking up and saying “Thank you GOD for putting me here.”
It didn’t stop there, though. At each and every event I get to meet you guys and hear some of the most amazing stories. Each one touches me in a different way, reassuring me why we do what we do. Not to mention I work with some of the greatest people on earth. Julie, Josh, Nancy, Jasmine, JoJo Mrs. Pat, Adam, Libby and Joel are sold out for GOD and inspire me everyday (Love you guys)!
You see I prayed for GOD to put me where He wanted me and I had to let go of my own expectations of what I thought I wanted or needed. I allowed GOD to speak into my life and lead me where He wanted. I had to believe and let GOD.
Was it hard? Yes.
Our flesh wants to take over and that is where worry sets in. Then we make decisions without allowing GOD to complete the plan he has for us. I encourage everyone to believe in GOD and let Him do His thing. GOD blew my expectations out of the water and NO – I had no Idea what amazing things GOD had in store for me!
I can’t wait to see what he has for next year because GOD is Good all the TIME!
