Our joy as believers isn’t dependent on circumstances. It’s rooted in faith. Sing along with Josiah Queen and Brandon Lake on the song “Can’t Steal My Joy” and celebrate the kind of joy that comes from a life surrendered to Christ. Josiah shares, “This song came from the idea that our joy isn’t dependent on the situations we face in our lives. It says in the Bible ‘the joy of the Lord is our strength.’ A lot of times we read that verse and don’t think about the power we have in joy. All of my life, the enemy has tried to rob me of my joy, but he can’t have something he never gave me.”

Emerson Day’s grandma has some solid advice: she told her grandaughter “anytime you feel anxious, afraid or confused, that comes from the enemy – so tell him get behind me in the name of the Lord.” Emerson clearly took that to heart. She says, “Every time I did, I would feel at peace. I learned that it’s God who fights our battles.” Emerson doesn’t just tell him in her song “Get Behind Me,” she TELLS him. If you need a bold declaration of strength, sing along to this one.
