Life sometimes feels like a roller coaster. Lately, we’ve all been feeling the ups and downs so intensely. What do we do with those emotions? We hand them over to God. Tasha Layton wrote her song “Into The Sea (It’s Gonna Be Ok)” during a time when she was facing a lot of heartache, worry and stress. “I was crying out to God, just like my little 2-year old son cries out to me. During those times when we ask the questions ‘God are you still in control? God are you still good?’ Psalm 46 says that even if the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the sea, that He is our refuge and our strength, a present help in trouble. When your world feels like it is completely upside down, remember that it is going to be ok.” – Tasha Layton

It’s safe to say we’ve all found ourselves in places we didn’t plan for, especially lately. Toby Mac agrees. He say, “Lately I’ve found myself walking roads I never thought I would walk. The experience of losing my oldest son has been pain I never thought I would face. And now both our nation and our world are experiencing unimaginable times. A lot of times when we face hard things, painful things, the frightening, or the unknown, we reach for the promises of God. … And He did promise us that He would never leave us or forsake us. We will ‘See The Light’ and that is a promise that I hold onto with everything in me. I wrote this song before I ever faced such uncertainty and pain. Little did I know then that it would be speaking to me today on such deep levels. I hope it reaches out and touches your soul, as well as remind us all where our help comes from in this season. “ -TobyMac
