What is it it like to become a LifeSongs team member you may ask? Well, let me just explain how awesome and amazing it truly is! I have been a listener since before I could remember – sitting in my dad’s red Dodge Caravan, I heard the delightful sounds of Libby and Julie. I grew up listening intently to whatever they said while on my way to school.
Stand-Out Moment: One of my favorite moments ever was when LifeSongs played one of my favorite groups – dcTalk. I remember singing my heart out to Jesus Freak! It has always been my jam!
I am so grateful and thankful to have parents that have always encouraged Christian music in our home -because of its positive message and influence I am who I am. I feel like I have always been connected and tied to LifeSongs. Whether through the infamous LifeSongs Music Video Awards when I was a teenager (Oh to relive those glory days…NOT!), concerts, volunteering for Share-A-thon – no matter what, I have always loved talking and meeting the crew wherever they were – whatever LifeSongs was doing!
That is, in fact, what God has commanded each and every one of us to do first and secondly according to Matthew 22:37-39 “Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”
In John 15:12 Jesus also says “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”
My heart’s desire is to please God above all else and to be able to do such a work as this is extremely rewarding!
