Talkin’ Turkey | Libby

In Blog, Libby by Libby

This year marks the 67th anniversary of the National Thanksgiving Turkey presentation (and following Presidential Turkey Pardon). Past pardoned turkeys include Marshmallow, Gravy, Popcorn, Caramel, Cobbler and Gobbler. (It’s pretty clear by those names that we’re food-focused, especially this time of year.)

Want more turkey facts to gobble about this Thanksgiving? (What’s a “snood”? Can turkeys fly?) We’ve got you covered, thanks to Delish.com. How much do you know about this native American bird? Test your knowledge of turkey trivia and find out with this quiz! (Just imagine the many opportunities you’ll have to show off that newfound knowledge around the table this Thanksgiving!)

Need even more turkey-talk? Be sure to listen for our annual Thanksgiving chat with the experts at the Butterball hotline!

And, no matter what you may be scribbling down on your preliminary menu (Ham? Casseroles? Tofurkey?), remember the heart behind this holiday: GRATITUDE.

Psalm 107:1 says “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” (NIV) Let’s give thanks to God for who He is. Always good, always faithful. May our hearts be always grateful.
