Washington Catfish Festival - Wednesday, 04/16 thru Saturday 04/19
What: Live zydeco, Cajun, R&B and blues are highlights of the 15th annual celebration, which also features a catfish cook-off, arts and crafts, Cajun and Creole cuisine, antiques, exhibits and more.
Where: Washington Festival Grounds, 143 Veterans Memorial Highway, Washington

Earth Day Festival & Green Business Expo - Saturday, 04/19
Where: Louis Armstrong Park, 901 N. Rampart St. in New Orleans
What: Live music, food, exhibits about green businesses, arts and crafts and children’s activities are available at this ninth annual festival.

Crescent City Classic – Saturday, 04/19
What: The Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic is New Orleans’ (and the region’s) premier 10k road race. For 36 years, it has combined world class competition, amateur participation and great fun for all participants. The Classic is both physically challenging and a great New Orleans tradition!
Where: The race begins at the corner of Loyola Ave and Poydras Ave, downtown in New Orleans.
