Motherʼs Day 2013, LifeSongs was honored to partner with the Danielle Inn of Covington. The Danielle Inn provides a Christ-centered home to support and minister to the spiritual, physical, educational, and emotional needs of pregnant women by modeling the love of Christ, and equipping them with necessary life skills. It costs $8,500 a month to keep the doors open at Danielle Inn. They have no government support and rely on all donations.
Thank you for your generous donations for the Danielle Inn of Covington! These 1,929 diapers, 7,228 baby wipes, 198 rolls of toilet paper and 54 rolls of paper towels will help make a difference in the lives of moms in our community. Thank you to the area Chick-fil-A locations for helping with the collection efforts, and thank YOU for providing for the needs of these moms and their children.

Ashley is one of Danielle Inn’s residents. Here is her story:
When Ashley came to us, she struggled with addiction and had many emotional, spiritual, and economical battles to climb. Ashley has made great strides and amazing progress since she first entered our doors. Not only did Ashley give birth to her fantastic son, Roman, she’s celebrated 1 year of recovery from substance abuse, maintained a 4.0 GPA in her classes, and will graduate from Delta College with a Medical Assistant degree this month. Her son, Roman, is a healthy, happy 8-month old bundle of joy. In spite of Ashley’s workload at school and her responsibilities at the Inn, she embraces her role as Mommy with constant attention to Roman’s needs. Her ability to just play and enjoy him is evident in his happy demeanor; she’s a wonderful mother.
“I am ever so thankful that another mother has chosen life for her child and Danielle Inn has the opportunity to participate in showing the love and hope that is in Christ to this new mother as she begins to build a foundation for her and her child. One of the things I love about the ministry here at Danielle Inn is the message about Christ and His unconditional love of the women who walk through our doors.” -Abby Shields, Director
