Mother’s Day Reflections| Julie

In Blog, Julie by Libby

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I was able to spend the weekend with family. What more could a Momma ask for? At my 4 year old Finn’s school, they had a Mother’s Day picnic. And it was there that he presented me with beautiful handmade artwork.

I could never explain the way this boy has changed my life. Finn is sweet and kind and gentle and thoughtful. I only hope I don’t ruin him! But he is also wild and adventurous and all boy. And I love that about him, even while he makes me so nervous! He makes me laugh like no other. He tests my patience like no other. And he makes me love like no other. I’m honored to be his Momma.

But I know I can’t do it alone. I’m so thankful to have a Mama and Mom-in-law who love my child infinitely. Seeing their love for Finn, increases my love for them. They say, “It takes a village to raise a child.” And they ain’t lying! After spending time with Granny and Nana, Finn always has learned something new!

I’m thankful for both these ladies! (Granny (my mama) & Nana (my mom-law))

I prayed to be a Mother. And then prayed for a healthy child. I look at my beautiful boy and am overwhelmed with thankfulness. This family – this is all I needed for Mother’s Day.
