It’s the American Heart Association’s 10th Annual National Wear Red Day – an easy, powerful way to spread awareness and support the mission of Go Red For Women, the American Heart Associationʼs solution to save womenʼs lives. Heart disease is the number 1 killer in women, and is more deadly than all forms of cancer combined. 90 percent of women have one or more risk factors for developing heart disease. The cause encourages women to uncover the truth about heart disease and make ending it a reality.
Take a listen as Julie talks with Dr. Nichole Polin, FACC, FSCAI, Consultative Cardiologist, John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute to bring awareness to this important issue.[soundcloud url=”http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/80121307″ iframe=”true” /]
