Finally, after years of debate (and impatience on my part), one of life's great mysteries has been solved. According to student researchers at the University of Cambridge, it takes 3481 licks to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop. That's a lot of licks. No wonder I never made it!
