07/30/10 - Please help in praying that my husband gets a stable and secure job. He has an interview this morning. Our family really needs this, in Jesus' name. Amen.

07/30/10 - I have a issue with my left ear ringing, I know my lord and savior can heal me. I am asking for prayer from the wonderful listeners of lifesongs. During share a thon I asked for prayers to get my 2 boys and that prayer has been answered. I believe with all of my heart the I can be healed. Let the flood gates of heaven open up. 07/26/10 - My son lost his job April 1, 2010. He has been unable to find work to support his wife and 2 small children. I pray he and his wife find the goodness of God through these tough times. I pray he finds a job but most of all I pray he finds the strength and the promises of God. I pray as God continues to prepare their hearts. the seeds will fall on rich ground so they may flourish in the goodness God wants them to have.

07/21/10 - Please pray for me. I drink too much and its aoubt to cost me my family and career. My wife has said it hurting our relationship. I've missed days of work because of this and I am going to a review board on fri(7-23). I trust God and I know He's in control.. I've prayed for forgiveness and truly believe He forgives me. I love my job and my wife and don't want to lose it or her. I pray that God gives me a second chance for I am grateful....

07/20/10 - Please pray God can remove my anger from me. I've forgiven many people, but for some reason I can't shake the anger. Also I've been living a very lonely lifestyle for many years now. 07/13/10 - Please be in prayer for all employees of Northrop Gruman Shipyards in Avondale, LA. There has been some news concerning the selling of the business and perhaps closing the shipyards. My husband has been employed there for about 39 yrs. as well as thousands of others. Please pray for wisdom for the employers and employees that work there. Please pray for the favor of God to be upon each one and that will be each treated fairly concerning compensation especially to those who have worked many years at this shipyard.

My husband has been going through health issues and now he has this coming against him, pray that he will make the right decision concerning his employment/retirement options and that he will not walk in fear but will trust in the Lord with all his heart, mind, soul and spirit!!

07/10/10 - Pastor Daniel Dickson of New Life Fellowship in Westwego was tragically killed in a auto accident 7/9/10 along with 3 other people (the father, mother and brother of Pastor Danny's wife, Tammy Dickerson). There are no words that would express this loss. PLEASE lift up his family and church through this horrific time.

07/10/10 - Please pray for my son Larry and his family. Larry works 2 jobs to supply his family with a roof over their heads and food on the table. His wife does not work to help. Please pray that she will find guidiance to get out and find a job. Please pray that they can keep their family together, as my son is getting tired of doing it all by himself.

07/08/10 - Please pray for the Batiste family. My grandmother had a stroke 3 weeks ago. It's hard to take in the whole situation. My grandmother was able to move around independently and talk just fine, since the stroke, she can't talk, walk and can only move one side of her body with limitations. The family had no evident warning signs that the stroke was going to hit . My grand mother is now in a nursing home. We are praying that she can come home soon with all or some functions back.

Please pray for my Uncle, he has MS and is wheelchair bound. My grandmother who just had the stroke was taking care of him. I did not know how much medical attention he reqiured until my grandmother became ill. He needs assistance with getting out of bed, making meals, supervision in the home over night , bathing etc. The family house needs alot of work on it to make the house more friendly for him and the family just don't have the financial means to get the house up to standard to house my grandmother and uncle properly. Pray for a miracle that they both can stay at home without going into a facility.

07/08/10 - Please be in prayer for me. I have been going through various health issues. I was admitted to the hospital last Thursday and discharged on Saturday. The Dr's say that the right side of my heart is not pumping properly and that it is b/c of my lungs which are scarred (which they diagnose me with over 12 yrs ago) They say my heart is having to work hard so that is why I was having problems. I would get very weak when I would walk even short distances and would begin to black out. I would like to share with you how God alerts us and uses situations to get us the help we need!!! I was suffering with really bad headaches plus having the weak spells so I thought it was a tooth problem so I was arguing with myself for about 3 weeks and finally Tuesday night I decided to email a good friend of mine and told her what was going on, she immediately wrote me back and told me to call somebody (Dentist or Dr) to find out what was going on!! Well God w orked it all out and used the Dentist to tell me I need to contact my Dr.!! Plus about a month ago I was driving on the expressway and started to choke and blackout and I woke up and the Lord was moving me over in my vehicle and set me between two vehicles - He saved my life once again!!! If you ever thought angels didn't exist I can tell you they do!!! Alleluia!!! Please pray for me and my husband as we go through various health issues together!! The enemy is doing everything he can to separate us when we really need each other the most!! Our marriage has not been good for some time but the Lord is definitely doing something!!!! My husband and I need the Favor of the Lord with the Dr's that we will receive excellent care and that the medicines and the right diagnosis so that we can be totally resotored mind, body, soul and spirit!!!!!!! Also my daughter is having a hard time dealing with this and has in the past runned away from God I pray that this will draw her closer t o Him and also that she will take responsibility for her children's spiritural health which she has left for me to do in the past; but the Lord has told me to take my hands off; this is going to be very hard for me but I will walk in obedience to Him!!!

07/02/10 - Please pray for my sister Dina in Jesus name that somehow someway she is blessed and gets enough money to pay the rent by Monday or she and the kids will be homeless, and that she gets the call to go back to work quickly anywhere so they can not be homeless. Also, she is suffering from kidney stones, please pray for a healing miracle, and a money job miracle... Be blessed!

06/30/10 - I'm asking if everyone would take a few moments and pray for John Lopez. He is a 12yr old boy who lives in Metairie. John was out on the Mississippi beach this weekend and cut his foot; now he is in the hosital fighting for his life!!! John has a bacterial infection in his blood. The doctors are saying if he lives that they will have to cut off his legs and arms! So I ask that you will keep him in your prayers! Thanks, and God bless.

06/29/10 - Please pray for our family's finances. Admittedly some of the problems we are facing now are as a result of poor choices in the past, others are related to the economy in general, and others seem to be just malicious and spiteful. I can barely hold it together to work through the day. Praise God we have jobs, but the money we bring in just isn't enough. Please pray for God to reveal himself in this situation and to direct our steps.

Someone opened a "facebook" profile 11 hours ago with my late wife's name and our photos. Father's day is tomorrow and it hurts my heart to miss our family. We started on a good year and ended on one. Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy.

05/27/10 - My daughter Maegan gave birth Fri May 14th to Cade Joseph 5lbs 13oz. He was placed in the nicu unit due to fluid in his lungs...later he was diagnosed with hypontia ... weak muscle tone.....all tests are coming back OK so far although the doctors feel he has a genetic disorder and we are waiting still more test results. I ask please for prayers for my daughter and son in law Maegan and Jake to find strength and comfort from the Lord and most of all lift up their precious angel Cade. May God heal him from any abnormalties mental or physical. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

05/27/10 - Please pray for the students from the Nicholls State University Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) that are in currently Vancouver, Canada on a missision trip. Today they are visiting Simon Fraser University. Please pray that they will have the strength, boldness, and courage to share Christ with the students there and others that they meet throughout the day and for the rest of their trip. Please also pray that they may be filled with the spirit and knowledge in the word as they speak the truth to the students and that they would be a light to all that they encounter. 05/21/10 - This is a prayer request. I feel foolish for not posting this sooner for I truly believe in the power of prayer. My boyfriend has been unemployed since January. Due to the economy he was laid off and is finding it very difficult to receive interviews, much less find a job! He has a master's degree and is a hard-working Christian man! This struggle is testing him emotionally (and his faith) every step of the way. I ask that all of the wonderful workers and listeners at Lifesongs pray for him and all of the other people who are struggling to find good careers! Thank you for all you do in the city.

05/21/10 - I listen to the radio everyday. I need prayers so that I can become closer to God, so that I can glorify Him every single day of my life and so that He can help me get over my previous relationship where I got really hurt. It really consumes me and I know no one can feel my pain better than Jesus and he can heal me, get me back on my feet. I really need strength and only He can give me refuge and strength. Thank you.

05/19/10 - Please pray for my twin sister. We are both about to go to college and go our seperate ways. We have drifted apart from each other this past year and I wish she would realize how much I miss her. She has been my best friend since birth and i want her to realize that. 05/18/10 - Please pray for Father Jonathan Parks of St. Rosalie Catholic Church in Harvey. He has been diagnosed with a rare blood disease and is not getting better. He has been told that he does not have cancer, but is going through chemo as a form of treatment. He is in and out of the hospital due to his blood pressure constantly plummeting. We are praying for a miracle of healing. Fr. Jon is so loved by his parishoners and family. We miss seeing his smiling, silly self.

I would like to request a prayer for each of them, Cindy and Pam (team members) and their families as they go through these trying times. 05/14/10 - I was on medical stress leave from a job that destroyed my life and mt faith. I am now jobless. Please ask God to bless me with a better job and medical insurance. Also, please pray that I can receive unemployment benefits while I'm looking for work. My wife and I are very worried about the whole situation. 05/10/10 - Please pray that I don't lose my job. I was never informed that I was incorrectly setting up some meetings in the company's software system, nor ever shown the correct way to do so. My boss says he's always been honest with me; honest yes, clear in his instructions, no. If he saw the problem, why didn't he correct me so I could do it correctly instead of continuing to let me do it the way I was originally shown? Please, please I cannot afford to lose my job, especially like this. I'm terrified of the effect it will have on my husband; he's been through so much with our finances, I'm afraid I'll lose him because his health and faith will fail... 05/03/10 - This past Saturday during the first CureSearch Walk 2010 at Audubon Park in New Orleans, child cancer victims, friends, and family walked 1.8 miles and helped raise $72,000. The funds will stay at Children's Hospital in New Orleans and be earmarked for child cancer research. Organizers accomplished this goal in just four months. CureSearch, planned to be an annual event, is still accepting donations at CureSearch.org.
